ABOUT ME
For me, design is more than a profession, it’s a language. It’s how I translate feelings, memories, and ideas into visuals that people can connect to. I believe good design should be consistent, human, and timeless: creations that not only look beautiful but carry meaning and emotion.

I was born and raised in Ethiopia, surrounded by an amazing family who always encouraged my dreams and because of them, I’ve learned to dream big. Ethiopia continues to fuel my creativity every day; it’s a place overflowing with color, culture, and history, proudly standing as the only African country never colonized. Its spirit, resilient, vibrant, and full of life is deeply woven into how I see and create.
I later moved to France to pursue my Bachelor’s degree, which also brought me closer to my French roots through my grandmother’s side. Living in Strasbourg, a city rich with history and artistic energy, opened my eyes to new perspectives and deepened my appreciation for design and storytelling.
Today, I’m based in Florence, where I’m completing my Master’s in Graphic Design : Focus on New Media at IED. The creativity, history, and art that define this city give me a strong sense of belonging,
it’s where my Italian heritage and my creative passions truly feel at home.
MY STORY
I’m an Ethiopian–Italian - French graphic designer based in Florence. My work explores the intersection between storytelling and visual identity expressing narratives, emotions, and ideas through my designs to create work that connects and leaves a lasting impression.

MY GRAPHIC DESIGNER LORE...
My first graphic design project happened long before I knew what design even was. I was about ten, playing on my dad’s computer, when I created a business card for a veterinary studio because at the time, I wanted to be a vet so badly. The vet dream didn’t last, but something else did. I realized how much I loved creating, imagining, and shaping ideas visually. Growing up, I was always expressing myself, writing poems, painting, making music anything that felt like storytelling.
In high school, during a career fair, I met a graphic designer who completely changed how I saw the world. The idea of communicating through visuals, of being able to touch on any topic and create impact through design, it fascinated me. That was the moment I knew this was what I wanted to do and it hasn't changed since.
My dad, who owns one of Ethiopia’s most well-known design and print companies, has been my biggest inspiration ever since. Watching his passion for the craft showed me that design isn’t just about aesthetics it’s about people, stories, honesty and making ideas real.
The brave paw, I had big vet dreams,
not knowing I was already thinking like a graphic designer :)
